About Us

Janson M

Janson was born the second of what would be 6 children to loving parents. He grew up in Eastern Washington and graduated from Cheney Highschool almost with honors. He has to say almost with honors because his school had honors at 3.5 GPA and he graduated with 3.4999 and is not salty about that B he got on his electronics final that definitely should have been an A-

After graduation he worked for a few years having fallen away from his faith. Due to the valiant efforts of his father and some few missionaries that would not give up on him the spirit was brought back into his life and he re-found his faith and served a full time mission in Frankfurt Germany.

Returning from his mission he worked for sometime before following the promptings of the Lord and moved to Utah. Having lived in his car for a month he was eventually able to find a place to live and a job with the help of the Lord. He has since moved 4 times and currently resides in Draper Utah.

He has served in many callings in the church and is currently serving as a Gospel Doctrine teacher in his ward. His favorite pass times include reading, painting, wood working, and spending quality time with his friends. He has a deep seated love of the scriptures and is ever seeking to understand them better. This has lead him to studying Koine Greek, Hebrew, and Latin, and taking several classes on Textual Criticism of the New Testament.

Alec M

Alec is a part time student and a full time father. He served a Spanish speaking mission in Houston TX from 2011 to 2013 and is still fluent in Spanish (just as long as you don’t ask him to actually speak it). He lives in Lynnwood WA with his beautiful wife, adorable cat Nairobi and a two year old daughter who generally ignores him and breaks his heart on a daily basis.

About This Page

This is a place where I can post spiritually minded posts pretty much about anything! On my mission I got in the habit of often coming up with spiritual “Themas” (as we called them) for either the member families I was teaching or for my weekly email home.

When I got home I found myself still finding much joy in coming up with these spiritual thoughts but was bereft of an audience to share them with. I eventually found Facebook and that served for some few years, but at the urging of my older brother and in an attempt to digitally declutter I decided to move this off of Facebook. So here it is, I hope you all like it
